Purpose & Goal



Provide administrators, educators, and parents practical resources and information for identifying and serving the linguistically diverse gifted/talented learner.


Linguistically diverse learners who participate in services for gifted/talented learners will demonstrate knowledge and skills and create advanced products and performances, as stated in the Texas State Goal for Services for Gifted/Talented Students. In order to accomplish this, these learners must simultaneously participate in services for bilingual or English language learners. The English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) should be used to support these learners.
